There are thousands of techniques within the art of Jiu Jitsu. Here are a a few to learn.
Although Jiu Jitsu is a martial art that takes a long time to learn, it can help to have an understanding of technique names and their translations, as well as a basic idea of how the technique is done. This list should not be used as a replacement for proper training, but might help to complement instruction. If one doesn't understand how to do a technique, ask your Sensei! Remember also that this is a small list and does not represent the entirety of Jiu Jitsu. Nage Waza - Throwing TechniquesOsoto-Gari (Major Outer Reap)

While this is a very short list of the techniques within Jiu Jitsu, it can serve as a starting point for some research and learning. Remember that any of these techniques is designed to be used in conjunction with many others, so that you always have something that you can use when in any situation.
